Is your allergy an allergy of just sensitivity? The only way to know if you are actually allergic to get tested for those “specific” ingredients. Most people think they are allergic to wool because wool is scaly and is itchy to the skin and may cause an irritation but that does not mean you are allergic. There is no contact to the wool in our mattresses because it is inside the mattress and necessary for fire barrier protection. However, with a doctor’s RX, you can get it made without wool. The other thing is people confuse latex gloves with natural latex/rubber…not the same thing at all. Again you would need to be tested specifically for wool and “natural rubber”. If in fact you have been tested to both of these than your only other option is an organic cotton innerspring mattress made with no wool. Hope this helps!

I’ve been reading much about the new organic latex beds wrapped in organic wool material as being a safe alternative for the toxic foam beds. My concern is this….I have an allergy to both latex and wool. Would these new organic beds made of natural latex wrapped in organic wool, cause me problems? If anyone knows the answer to this, I would be very interested in hearing it. Thank You.

Yucky!! My husband travels a ton for his job and brought bed bugs home with him:( It is so yucky! Now I have to look for and hire a company that does bed bug control in Minneapolis. Do you happen to have any recommendations? Let me know! Thanks!

I recently purchased a tempurpedic mattress. Within hours of receiving the bed I started to get a terrible headache, the smell is awful! My two young kids were checking out my new bed, rolling around on it, they both became very ill later that night, my youngest even vomiting several times! I didn’t think all this could possibly be from a mattress so I began to search online for similar reactions and was surprised to find so many people who have experienced health issues as well. I learned these beds are soaked in harmful chemicals! I decided to give it one more night and try it myself (keeping my kids as far away from it as possible!). BIG MISTAKE! After laying in bed for only a couple hours I developed an excruciating headache, my ears were ringing, my heart began to race, I felt weak and nauseous. I tried moving to the couch to sleep but my bedroom is off the living area and I could still smell the horrible odor and my symptoms continued. After a couple more hours both my kids woke up complaining of headaches, I believe the toxins may have been spreading throughout our house through the ventilation system when the heat would come on. We finally had to leave our home at 2 am to go stay with my mom because we were so sick! Luckily the company I bought it from was quick to respond and got it out of my house the following day. Please DO NOT buy this bed!! I don’t understand how it is even legal to sell something so saturated in chemicals!!

I am so confused. Purchased the new Tempur-pedic yesterday, cancelled the order today. Off gassing – that’s the reason. Started smelling something in the free pillow they gave me. Started thinking about the off-gassing. How can that be good for you? Love, love, love the bed, but fear overtook me. Does anyone own a sleep number?

I’ve been sleeping on a tempurpedic for the last year and a half. I’ve been physically sick for almost the entire time I slept on this bed. I spent thousands of dollars going to doctors to try to figure out what was wrong with me. My body hurt everday, my entire body including my face became numb at night, my organs felt like they were being crushed. It took all I had to get out of bed each morning. One doctor thought I may have MS. My next test was going to be a lumbar puncture. One night I fell asleep on my couch and noticed I felt great in the morning. Most of my aches and pains were gone. I thought to myself,” Could it be the bed?” I haven’t slept in my bed for about 4 weeks. I feel like a new person. Last night I sat on my tempurpedic bed for a few minutes and fell asleep. Two hours later I woke up with numbness in my face and the same pain in my body. My husband loves the bed and doesn’t have any problems. I cannot sleep on the bed. We will be purchasing a new mattress, unfortunately we spend thousands of dollars on the tempurpedic.

Use of a mattress protector is a much better option to protect yourself and your mattress from bed bugs. I have been using my mattress with a Mattress Pad for past 2 years and I haven’t found a single bug in my bed till now.
