Any topper can act as a buffer between you and a synthetic standard mattress. Our wool toppers are made with wool, thus act as a deterrent to dust mites, are naturally flame retardant, and naturally bacteria resistant – allows you to sleep on a breathable surface. We do recommend a water resistant puddle pad to protect the topper, especially if you have an infant or bed wetter sleeping with you. We DO NOT recommend that young babies sleep on this topper.
