These are the most durable most washable organic pads around. Most companies use just carded organic cotton. Unfortunately after several washes it starts to lump up. Our quilting is needle punched organic cotton. This holds the fibers together through all that washing and drying in the machine. No special care needed and very durable. Our outer organic cotton sateen feels great, not scratchy.
